Concert: El Nuevo Mundo

El Nuevo Mundo is a musical journey of discovery from wealthy 16th century Renaissance Spain across the Atlantic to the New World, where exquisite European polyphony met Latin-American rhythm and sensuality in a glorious explosion of sound.

Juan de Padilla’s Missa Ego flos campi is the centre-piece of the programme which includes large-scale religious works, saucy secular songs and compositions for accompanied soloists.
