Politicians, economists and journalists create their own “neolanguage” which, as in Orwell’s nightmare, reduces the world’s variety and complexity to a technocratic and opaque jargon.
Lecturers: Albert Chillón, writer and essayist, is a Communication Sciences lecturer at the Univesitat Autònoma Barcelona; but above all, he is an expert on the relatioship between literatura, journalism and communication. He was awarded the “Creu de Sant Jordi” in April 2011, the greatest honour conferred by the Generalitat of Catalunya. Chaired by Íñigo Gurruchaga, London correspondent for the Vocento regional daily newspapers and author of various books on internacional political themes.
