Written and directed by María Caudevilla with extracts from Lorca’s work, Lorca Dreams is a poetic journey through the life and work of Federico García Lorca.
The actors revisit anecdotes from his playful childhood, conversations with his friend Salvador Dali, dramatic scenes of the New York Wall Street crash, and memories from Buenos Aires and La Habana.
The production presents a world of dreams and sensations, a taste of Lorca’s tremendous sense of humour, a collage of “Federicos” representing a man full of passion, in love with life and freedom. It was this desire for freedom that would later prevent him from suspecting the tragic end which silently awaited him.
